Currently we are looking for a Junior Accountant.
Task and responsibilities
- Be an amazing team member and will always be ready to help and ready to learn
- Continuously communicate and work in close cooperation with CFO, head of accounting, corporate accountant, treasury, FP&A, external services provider on monthly/annual closings
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the Group according to IFRS and the statutory financial statement according to Swiss Code of Obligations
- Perform daily general ledger and sub-ledger entries in consultation/coordination with the Corporate Accountant
- Assist in the regular reconciliation of IC balances including the allocation of intra-group services
- Support the Corporate Accountant in analysing the financial statements (monthly, quarterly and annually) and assist in the preparation of forecasts / budgets
- Assist with special tasks and various projects in the CFO area
- Ensure and further develop of accounting processes and the internal control system (ICS)
- Support internal and external audits
Your profile
Must haves:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Independent, reliable and accurate way of working
- Organised, goal-oriented and flexible
- Good knowledge of Abacus
- Completed commercial and administrative qualification
- First experiences with accounting standards (IFRS and Swiss Code of Obligations)
- Experience in an international organization
- Very good knowledge of German & English
- Familiar with Microsoft office tools
- EU/EFTA Permit B
Nice to have:
- Experience in the commodity trading sector
- Knowledge of Swiss VAT
